Manufacturing liquid sealant
Edwin built and ran an SABS-approved liquid tyre sealant business — self-sealing tyre technology, the generation before this one. That approval belongs to that product, and to that chapter.
The first fitment centre
He opened the first Rev Tyre Tech fitment centre in WilroPark, Johannesburg, bringing Nano Polymer to the South African market. The business later moved to TyreMart Roodepoort.
Micheline joins
His wife Micheline came into the business and they established a new fitment centre at Clearview Motor Village, Florida Glen.
Silverton, Pretoria
The business relocated to Sildale Park in Silverton, Pretoria — where the two of them still run the floor, alongside a team carrying 30+ years of collective tyre-trade experience.
He'd seen what a liquid does
A liquid sealant sits in your tyre. It can affect your balancing, and customers had long memories of products that dried out. Nano Polymer bonds to the inner crown instead — a thin, permanent layer that doesn't slosh, doesn't move, and doesn't change how the wheel behaves. That mechanical difference is the whole reason the business exists.
Road safety, and making it affordable
Better safety on the road, newer technology than the market was being sold, and the option of building the cost into a vehicle's purchase price — so a motorist doesn't have to find the money separately. That last one is why the dealership programme exists at all.

What we hold, described accurately
We're members of the RMI, MIOSA and MIBCO — the marks on our Fitment Certificate. We hold an ISO 14001 certificate — that's an environmental management standard covering how we operate as a business, not a test of how the product performs — and it's available to your legal or compliance team on request. We also hold the supplier's material safety and technical data sheets. And we're a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor — 100% black-owned, with a current sworn affidavit available on request.
We're registered with WesBank, Standard Bank, Absa, NedFleet, Treasury Supplier, Signio, Seriti, and RT46 via AfriRent.

Rev Tyre Tech Botswana
A Note from Thebe and Bianca Sebina
A tyre puncture may seem like a minor inconvenience — until it leaves a family stranded at the roadside, delays an important journey, disrupts business operations or brings a fleet vehicle to a standstill.
We saw an opportunity to change that.
Our decision to invest in Rev Tyre Tech was about far more than pursuing a business opportunity. It was about bringing an innovative solution to Botswana — one that we genuinely believe can make a meaningful difference.
As motorists, we understand the inconvenience, expense and vulnerability caused by a punctured tyre. We have travelled Botswana's highways, driven long distances between towns and experienced the same road conditions that thousands of Batswana navigate every day.
As entrepreneurs, we also understand that a puncture is more than a tyre problem for businesses operating fleets. It means downtime, delayed deliveries, disrupted operations, additional costs and lost productivity.
When we were introduced to Rev Tyre Tech and saw the Nano Polymer technology in action, we immediately recognised its relevance to Botswana. We thought about:
- Families travelling long distances
- Women driving alone
- Parents travelling with children
- Farmers and tourism operators navigating challenging terrain
- Delivery vehicles, buses, taxis, government fleets, mining vehicles and commercial operators that depend on keeping their vehicles moving
And asked ourselves one simple question: why shouldn't this technology be available here at home? That question became the driving force behind bringing Rev Tyre Tech to Botswana.
Why We Chose Rev Tyre Tech
We chose to invest in Rev Tyre Tech because its philosophy aligned with the kind of business we wanted to build: innovative, preventative, practical and focused on solving a genuine problem. We were also drawn to the entrepreneurial spirit and family values behind the Rev Tyre Tech story.
We did not want to introduce another conventional tyre business to the market. We wanted to bring advanced technology into Botswana's tyre industry and build a business at the intersection of road safety, innovation, mobility, sustainability and operational efficiency.
Most importantly, we wanted to offer a solution that could benefit everyone — from an individual driving a small passenger vehicle to an organisation managing a fleet of hundreds.
Rev Tyre Tech Botswana is not simply about fixing punctures. It is about preventing a puncture from stopping the journey. Whether protecting one family vehicle or an entire commercial fleet, our purpose remains the same: Keep Botswana Moving.
